Summer Solstice Practice – A Celebration of Light

June 21st, the longest day in the northern hemisphere is celebrated with dance, song, bonfires, community gatherings and ceremonies, and in yoga, a summer solstice practice. Our beautiful sun reaches its highest point in the sky and we will be blessed with the longest day and shortest night of the year. During this auspicious time of the year, we can recalibrate with the powerful

vibrancy of the sun instilling within us our own strength, power and vitality. Our center of power, strength, will and vitality is the Solar Plexus (Manipura Chakra).

Perhaps this is a time to reflect on your own path forward and to honor and celebrate where you are on this journey, bringing even more life or prana to continue forward. This Solstice practice is just one way to celebrate our connection to life. The sun brings life to all – align your spirit with this life force.
